The funding for the Historical Society is derived from annual dues paid by members, as well as donations and memorial contributions. As an independent organization classified as a 501(c)(3) by IRS, donations made to the Society are tax deductible.
With exciting projects on the horizon, including an updated Antrim history and the acquisition of a new historical property in Antrim, the Board is considering a capital fund drive to bring these initiatives to life.
The Antrim Historical Society is dedicated to preserving our history, much of which is sustained through the cherished items that individuals and families contribute. These can include treasures discovered while cleaning attics or mementos left by loved ones, such as photographs, printed materials, toys, tools, old furniture, artifacts, and documents related to towns, businesses, and schools. Our Accessions Committee determines which materials can be accepted, considering whether the item pertains to Antrim, if we already have a similar item, and most importantly, whether the item is properly identified with its date, ownership, and provenance. We invite you to share your treasures with us so we can preserve them for future generations.
